Virginia Real Estate Homes For Sale
Virginia is a land full of an amazing variety of activities, which of many are completely free. Living here or taking a vacation here can provide some very interesting memories that are sure to last a lifetime. There are so many free things you can do (always good news), and some of these things aren’t your typical vacation or leisurely activities. Virginia offers up some pretty off-the-wall experiences as well as the more general ones such as historical and outdoors activities.
Historical You can step back in time by visiting the many, rich historical sites. One of the more entertaining ones is the National Museum of the United States Marine Corps. Even kids and teens who roll their eyes at the mention of wandering through yet another museum will find themselves smiling and enthralled at this interactive museum. Of course you’ll learn about the history of the Marines. But, you can experience the shaking ground when you “land on Iwo Jima” on D-Day. You can see if you got what it takes to be a sniper with the laser targeted rifle range, or step into the very first interactive exhibit that lets you experience the extremity and intensity of Marine Corps boot camp.
Off-the-Wall What would you say to a goat show? It may not sound like anything spectacular, but we guarantee you’ll be laughing, pointing, and having a good time. The Westmoreland Berry Farm created a goat walk where the goats climb, walk, and explore along high beams. The goats absolutely love it, because they’re naturally inclined to climb with instincts that come from wandering the mountain sides. They’re very well balanced and don’t think twice about it. Your little ones are sure to find this to be a highlight of the day. While you’re there you can pick berries, fruits, and veggies that are in-season; sample delicious jams and other scrumptious delights; or you can pick up some new plants, flowers and other garden items to take home to your garden.
