Virginia Beach Real Estate Homes & Condos

Virginia Beach may be known as party central for college kids across the nation, but it’s really a beautiful place for anyone to visit. Think moving to Virginia Beach is far fetched for you? Sure, on the resort beaches that are found here you’re sure to run into some festive crowds, live music, and people just having a good time. But there are other beaches here as well. If you’d rather spend your time a little more relaxed, here are a couple of beach areas to consider.

Sandbridge Beach One of the best places to relax on the sand in Virginia Beach is at Sandbridge Beach. Head south about 15 miles from the resort beach areas and you’ll find this five mile stretch of secluded beach. You can truly relax here. If you’re up for a little bit of fun while you’re here you can check out the National Wildlife Refuge or the False Cape State Park. Hiking, fishing, and kayaking are just some of the options you have down here.

Chesapeake Bay Beach Chesapeake Bay Beach brings the intensity down a notch, and the water is more easy-going than in some of the other beach areas. You can find Chesapeake Bay Beach right by Shore Drive. You’re sure to find plenty of room to craft an amazing sand castle or enjoy an evening walk along the waterfront. Bring along a picnic basket and enjoy the atmosphere or you can head to Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel where you can find a variety of top-notch restaurants. If Chesepeake Bay Beach sounds perfect to you, go north on Atlantic or Pacific Avenue. Going north you’ll see the street numbers getting higher. Those two streets will come together, just keep going north. There’ll be a curve to the left (about 83rd street) and the name of the road will become Shore Drive. You’ll find the beaches on the right side.
